Channel 4, 8pm Ruth Watson is in Derbyshire this week, dropping in at Carnfield Hall to meet owner James Cartland.
Yes, it turns out he's one of THOSE Cartlands, romantic author Barbara having been one of his cousins. James turns out to be a keen collector, but clearly struggles to separate treasure from trash.
BBC3, 10.30pmContinuing my theme from above, here’s the final part of this remarkable documentary, following comedian Eddie's attempt to run 43 marathons in 51 days for Sport Relief.
Eddie now has a mere 17 to go, which he plans to complete in 19 days. As he nears his target, however, his body appears to break down in protest. Will he manage to achieve his goal?
BBC1, 9pm Celebrities, eh? When it comes to raising cash for a good cause, they seem to love putting themselves through hell.
It’s as if they believe mere fundraising is not enough – and that, wracked with guilt for their wealthy and privileged lives, they should also be subjecting themselves to some kind of hideous punishment.
This latest example finds David Walliams (remember how he swam the channel for Sport Relief a few years back? Looked like utter purgatory) persuading Davina McCall, Fearne Cotton, Miranda Hart, Jimmy Carr, Russell Howard and Patrick Kielty to help him attempt a non-stop Sport Relief cycle relay from John O'Groats to Land's End. It means covering almost 1,000 miles a day, and in all weathers, with the aim of raising £1million.
