CORONATION STREET: TINA IN SUICIDE SHOCK

CORONATION Street sex kitten Tina McIntyre will try to commit suicide by starving herself to death.

Fans will see the troubled girl spiral into a depression as she struggles to cope with the death of her dad Joe.

And Tina (Michelle Keegan, 22,) will lock herself away from her pals as she deliberately stops eating.

In a dramatic episode scheduled to be screened in May, her friend Graeme Proctor (Craig Gazey, 27) arrives at Tina’s flat to check on her and becomes concerned when she does not answer the door.

Fearing the worst, the worried lad kicks it down and finds her on the floor.

Despite Graeme’s efforts to revive her, Tina remains limp in his arms so he calls an ambulance.

Soon after, Tina comes round and begs Graeme to cancel it. Breaking down, she admits: “I miss my dad so much I want to die.

“I thought if I didn’t eat anything I’d just go to sleep and never wake up.

“That way I’d be released from my agony.”

Viewers will then see good-hearted Graeme launch a one-man crusade to look after the babe and make sure she does not harm herself.

He starts to call round several times a day with food and hot drinks and insists on cooking her a meal every night.

A show insider said: “Tina’s heading to a real dark place but luckily for her Graeme is there to help.

“There will be loads of touching scenes between the two friends as she tries to get her life back on track.”
