TONY PULIS: MARATHON MAN

ABOVE: Stoke boss Tony Pulis is turning his players into long-distance runners
9th February 2010

By Daily Star Reporter

THIS time last year Tony Pulis was getting ready for the London Marathon – now he’s turned his players into long-distance runners.

Stoke’s boss reckons some of his team will have covered 26 miles in two games by the time they have finished playing Wigan tonight – three days after beating Blackburn.

He said: “Our ProZone stats far exceed last year’s figures and it’s something we have worked hard at to achieve. It’s a shock coming into the Premier League, you don’t realise how physically fit the teams are.”
