GORD GETS NO BETTER
IT'S the final countdown…
Gordon Brown’s shambolic reign is nearing the end with only a few months left before he must call an election.
Today he sets out his final programme of new laws and policies in the Queen’s Speech.
He’s widely tipped to pull out all the stops to win over voters.
Expect new hardline initiatives on sex offenders and bankers’ bonuses as well as another schools shake-up.
But we know you won’t be fooled.
Mr Brown will be judged on his record over the past 12 years, not on any new promises he makes today.
He and Tony Blair rose to power to the tune of Things Can Only Get Better.
Since then, we’ve seen mass immigration, rising crime, the wrecking of the pensions system, the collapse of the banks, bloody wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, unemployment out of control, soaring unemployment…
